: Artist Statement
If I must,
I don’t have enough of an ego for making a statement that implies that I am some sort of elevated being. I am not. I simply do what comes naturally and I don’t believe that art is much more than self expression. I do think there is room to analyze and critic art based on appreciation and interest. It just doesn’t need to be over inflated in importance.
I think that most artists are fans of art. We learn, we emulate, we improve upon and even steal from the art that which surrounds us. Just do what you like and express your own individuality. Try to move forward and don’t be a Xerox machine!
